Target intelligence / Profile preview
A mechanism whereby antigen-presenting cells utilize their surface-expressed Fc gamma receptors (FcγRs) to bind antibody-antigen immune complexes. This interaction leads to enhanced internalization, processing, maturation signals within the APCs—including upregulation of co-stimulatory molecules—and ultimately more effective presentation on MHC class I/II molecules.
APCs use FcRs to bind antibody-antigen complexes, facilitating internalization, processing, and presentation of antigens on MHC molecules, thereby enhancing T cell activation.
