Apolipoprotein L6 (APOL6)

Target
APOL6
Molecular classification
Other (Apolipoprotein family)
01

Overview

Apolipoprotein L6 is a member of the apolipoprotein L gene family and is a cytoplasmic protein that may affect the movement of lipids within the cytoplasm or facilitate the binding of lipids to cellular organelles. It has proapoptotic properties and can induce mitochondria-mediated apoptosis, particularly in cancer cells, and has been associated with tumor aggressiveness and interactions with genes involved in the STAT signaling pathway and immune defense responses[1][2][3][4][5].
