Overview
Arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase-activating protein (FLAP) is a membrane protein essential for leukotriene biosynthesis. It activates and anchors arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase (ALOX5), facilitating the conversion of arachidonic acid into leukotrienes. As leukotrienes are potent mediators of inflammation, FLAP is a therapeutic target for inflammatory diseases.

Mechanism of action
