Arf-GAP with GTPase domain, ankyrin repeat and PH domain-containing protein 9 (AGAP9) is a predicted GTPase-activating enzyme encoded by the AGAP9 gene in humans. It contains several structural domains, including an ADP ribosylation factor GTPase-activating protein (Arf-GAP) domain, a GTPase domain, ankyrin repeats (involved in protein–protein interactions), and a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain. AGAP9 is thought to regulate the activity of small GTPases, and may participate in intracellular vesicle trafficking, membrane dynamics, and cell signaling. Its biological roles are extrapolated from protein family functions and are not uniquely characterized for AGAP9. There is currently no direct linkage to human disease, validated drug interactions, or use as a therapeutic target.
