ARF like GTPase 4A pseudogene 5 (ARL4AP5) is annotated as a pseudogene in genomic databases and does not encode a functional protein[7]. Unlike ARL4A, a member of the ADP-ribosylation factor-like (ARL) family of small GTP-binding proteins involved in cellular signaling, migration, and tumor biology[3], ARL4AP5 has no described protein products or demonstrated biological activity. Pseudogenes like ARL4AP5 are generally considered non-functional remnants resulting from gene duplication or mutation, and they do not participate in cellular pathways as receptors, enzymes, or drug targets. No drugs, biomarkers, or disease roles are associated with ARL4AP5, and there are no relevant safety concerns. If you intended to query the functional ARL4A protein (not ARL4AP5), ARL4A is an ADP-ribosylation factor-related small GTPase implicated in cytoskeletal remodeling, cell migration, cancer progression, and signaling[3].
