AGAP13P is a pseudogene and not a protein-coding gene. The primary function of pseudogenes is generally non-coding, although some may play regulatory roles at the RNA level. AGAP13P is distinct from the protein-coding AGAP family members (such as AGAP1, AGAP2) which are Arf GTPase-activating proteins involved in membrane trafficking, actin remodeling, and other cellular processes. Pseudogenes like AGAP13P do not encode active enzymes, receptors, or classical drug targets.
