Overview
ARID1B antisense RNA 1 (ARID1B-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed from the antisense strand of the ARID1B locus. It does not encode a protein but may regulate expression of the ARID1B gene through epigenetic or transcriptional mechanisms. While the protein-coding ARID1B gene plays a key role in chromatin remodeling and is implicated in numerous diseases, the specific functions and clinical relevance of ARID1B-AS1 as a non-coding RNA remain largely uncharacterized. No drugs currently target ARID1B-AS1, and its use as a clinical biomarker or therapeutic target is still experimental.
