Divergent transcripts are typically unstable, carry no coding information, and are not functionally characterized. There is no evidence for ARL14EP-DT as a pharmacological, clinical, or experimental target. The bona fide gene product, ARF Like GTPase 14 Effector Protein (ARL14EP), interacts with ARL14 and MYO1E to regulate major histocompatibility class II vesicle trafficking in dendritic cells, but ARL14EP-DT itself lacks confirmed function or disease association[1][2][3][4].
