ASB15 antisense RNA 1 (ASB15-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed in the antisense direction to the ASB15 gene (Ankyrin repeat and SOCS box containing 15), located on human chromosome 7 (chr7:123570030-123624957)[3]. ASB15-AS1 belongs to the broader class of natural antisense lncRNAs, which are known to play roles in the regulation of their corresponding sense genes through diverse mechanisms such as modulation of mRNA stability, transcriptional interference, or epigenetic regulation[2]. However, as of now, there are no mechanistic studies or disease associations specifically addressing the function or clinical relevance of ASB15-AS1 in the literature. ASB15-AS1 is referenced in gene and lncRNA databases but is not listed as a therapeutic target, receptor, enzyme, transporter, or a protein with known small-molecule interactions[3][5]. Direct evidence of biological or pathological function is currently lacking.
