Ascorbyl glucoside is a water-soluble, stabilized derivative of vitamin C formed by bonding ascorbic acid with glucose. It is chemically synthesized using a biocatalytic transglucosylation, resulting in enhanced stability over traditional ascorbic acid[1][2][4][5]. Used widely in cosmetic products, it demonstrates potent antioxidant properties, inhibits melanin production, brightens skin tone, and promotes collagen synthesis.
