Overview

An aspheric biconvex lens is an optical element with two outward-curving (convex) surfaces whose curvature profile is intentionally modified from a perfect sphere (aspheric), allowing it to more precisely refract and focus incoming light. Wavefront modification refers to custom shaping of the lens surfaces to further reduce aberrations and improve the quality of the focused image.
