AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 2 (ARID2)

AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 2 (ARID2) is a DNA-binding subunit of the PBAF (poly-bromo-associated factor) SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex, which is essential for transcriptional regulation, chromatin architecture, and maintaining cellular identity. ARID2 contains a conserved AT-rich DNA interaction domain and zinc finger motifs that facilitate its binding to specific genomic regions. It plays crucial roles in embryonic patterning, cell cycle regulation, and tissue-specific gene activation.
