ATP synthase membrane subunit f pseudogene 7 (ATP5MFP7) is a non-coding genomic locus categorized as a pseudogene, homologous to the gene encoding subunit f of the mitochondrial ATP synthase Fo complex. Unlike its parent gene ATP5MF, which is involved in ATP synthesis during oxidative phosphorylation, ATP5MFP7 does not produce a protein product and is functionally inert. It is not associated with any known biological activity, disease, or drug interaction, and should not be considered a therapeutic target[1][7].
