ATP5PF pseudogene 3 (ATP5PFP3) is a human pseudogene that shares sequence similarity with the functional ATP5PF gene, which encodes the ATP synthase peripheral stalk subunit F6, a component of mitochondrial ATP synthase. However, ATP5PFP3 itself does not encode a protein and is not expressed as a functional gene product. There are no known roles in physiology, disease, or as a therapeutic target[5].
