Avibacterium paragallinarum is a Gram-negative, pleomorphic, non-motile bacterium that serves as the primary causative agent of infectious coryza, an acute respiratory disease in chickens [1]. Formerly known as Haemophilus paragallinarum, this pathogen is characterized by its requirement for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD or V-factor) for growth in vitro [2].
