Overview

EO2463 is a multi-peptide cancer vaccine (OncoMimic) that targets the immune system to recognize and eliminate B-cells by focusing on four specific B-cell lineage antigens: CD19, CD20, CD22, and CD79b (Enterome, 2024, https://www.enterome.com). These antigens are critical for B-cell signaling and development and are highly expressed in B-cell malignancies such as follicular lymphoma (FL) and marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) (ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT04669171). The vaccine utilizes synthetic peptides derived from gut commensal bacteria that mimic these human antigens, a concept known as molecular mimicry, to activate memory T-cells (Enterome, 2024). Once activated, these T-cells cross-react with the human B-cell antigens on tumor cells, inducing a targeted cytotoxic immune response (Nature Communications, 2022, https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-022-29331-5). This approach aims to provide a durable anti-tumor effect while minimizing the off-target toxicity often seen with broader immunotherapies.
