B7-H3 (CD276)

Target
CD276
Molecular classification
Immunoglobulin superfamily, B7 family, Type I transmembrane glycoprotein
01

Overview

B7-H3 (CD276) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily and the B7 family. It functions as both a costimulatory and coinhibitory molecule in T cell-mediated immune responses. B7-H3 is overexpressed in a wide range of human cancers and correlates with tumor progression, metastasis, and poor prognosis. It promotes tumor migration/invasion, enhances drug resistance, and shapes the tumor microenvironment to favor immune evasion. Therefore it is an attractive target for cancer immunotherapy using monoclonal antibodies to block its immunosuppressive effects within the tumor microenvironment.
