B7 Homolog 3 Protein (B7-H3)

Target
B7-H3
Molecular classification
B7 family, Immunoglobulin superfamily, Type I transmembrane glycoprotein, Immune checkpoint
01

Overview

B7 homolog 3 protein (B7-H3), also known as CD276, is a member of the B7 family of immune regulatory proteins. It functions primarily as an immune checkpoint molecule and plays complex roles in modulating immune responses, particularly within the tumor microenvironment. It acts as both a costimulatory and coinhibitory molecule, promoting tumor cell migration, invasion, angiogenesis, chemoresistance, and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition. B7-H3 is overexpressed in many solid tumors and correlates with poor prognosis, making it a promising target for immunotherapy.
