Target intelligence / Profile preview
B7-H4 protein is a member of the B7 family of immunomodulatory proteins. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that acts as a co-inhibitory molecule for T-cell responses. It is highly upregulated in various cancers and plays a role in tumor immune evasion.
Inhibits T-cell effector function by inducing cell cycle arrest, decreasing proliferation, and reducing IL‑2 production; reverse signaling mechanisms that may induce apoptosis or arrest in expressing cells.
