Target intelligence / Profile preview
BCL2 associated transcription factor 1 pseudogene 1 (BCLAF1P1) is a pseudogene of the BCL2 associated transcription factor 1 (BCLAF1) gene. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but are generally non-functional; they do not encode an active protein product. BCLAF1P1 is not known to have any functional product or established role in disease or as a therapeutic target. All functional and disease associations described in the literature pertain to its parent gene, BCLAF1, not the pseudogene BCLAF1P1[3].
