BCL2 interacting protein 3 pseudogene 39 (BNIP3P39) is a pseudogene annotated in the human genome. It carries sequence similarity to the BNIP3 protein-coding gene, which is involved in apoptosis and autophagy, but BNIP3P39 itself does not produce a functional protein and is not implicated in known biological pathways, disease processes, or therapeutic mechanisms[1][2][8]. There is no evidence that BNIP3P39 is a receptor, enzyme, transporter, transcription factor, or clinical biomarker.
