Overview

Bile is a yellowish-green to brown aqueous fluid produced by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. It plays a crucial role in digestion, particularly in the emulsification and absorption of dietary fats. Bile also functions in the excretion of waste products, immune defense, and pH regulation in the duodenum.
