Target intelligence / Profile preview
BMS1 ribosome biogenesis factor pseudogene 16 (BMS1P16) is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 15, and is one of several non-functional duplicates of the BMS1 gene, which codes for an essential ribosome assembly factor[5][9][7]. Pseudogenes like BMS1P16 do not produce a functional protein and, based on current evidence, are not involved in any biological processes, disease mechanisms, or therapeutic interventions. BMS1P16 is not a drug target and has no established clinical relevance.
