Target intelligence / Profile preview
Bone marrow tyrosine kinase on chromosome X (BMX), also known as endothelial/epithelial tyrosine kinase (Etk), is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the Tec family. BMX is predominantly expressed in myeloid hematopoietic lineages, endothelial cells, and several types of cancers and plays a role in signal transduction, vascular biology, lymphangiogenesis, and inflammation. It is considered a potential target for cancer therapy due to its role in tumor progression.
