Bridge-like lipid transfer protein family member 3B (BLTP3B)

Bridge-like lipid transfer protein family member 3B (BLTP3B) is a tube-forming lipid transfer protein that mediates the transfer of lipids between membranes at organelle contact sites, particularly facilitating retrograde traffic from early endosomes to the Golgi complex. It enables lipid transfer, GARP complex binding, and protein homodimerization, and localizes to the cytosol and early endosomes. BLTP3B is associated with disorders such as Alkuraya-Kucinskas syndrome and choreoacanthocytosis[1][3][6][7].
