Bridging integrator 2 pseudogene 1 (BIN2P1) is a non-coding genetic sequence derived from the parental BIN2 gene. BIN2P1 does not encode a functional protein, and there is no evidence that it serves as a receptor or molecular target in therapeutics or drug discovery. Pseudogenes like BIN2P1 may regulate gene expression by acting as ‘decoys’ for microRNAs or producing regulatory small RNAs, though these roles are well-characterized only for a small subset of pseudogenes. Direct links between BIN2P1 and disease, drug interaction, or biomarker status have not been demonstrated in the scientific literature[1][2][3].
