Bromodomain-containing protein 3 (BRD3) is a member of the BET family of proteins and acts as a chromatin reader. It recognizes acetylated lysine residues on histones and transcription factors, regulating gene expression through chromatin remodeling. BRD3 plays roles in erythroid differentiation, gene regulation, and interacts with viral proteins. It is a therapeutic target for anticancer and anti-inflammatory therapies.
