BRPF3 antisense RNA 1 (BRPF3-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA transcribed from the antisense strand of the BRPF3 gene locus. BRPF3-AS1 has not been characterized as a protein, receptor, enzyme, or canonical drug target. Antisense RNAs like BRPF3-AS1 typically function by regulating the expression of overlapping or neighboring sense genes through a variety of mechanisms, often modulating transcription, splicing, or chromatin state at the site of their synthesis (cis regulation), or possibly at distant loci (trans regulation)[6].
