Target intelligence / Profile preview

BTB domain and CNC homolog 1 (BACH1)

Target
BACH1
Molecular classification
Transcription factor
01

Overview

BACH1 is a transcriptional repressor that plays a role in oxidative stress response, heme metabolism, and cell cycle control. It negatively regulates gene expression by binding to Maf recognition elements. In cancer, it can promote tumor invasion and influence sensitivity to ferroptosis.
