Target intelligence / Profile preview
The Bundibugyo virus glycoprotein (GP) is the envelope protein of the Bundibugyo ebolavirus. It is a trimeric complex of GP1 and GP2 subunits. GP1 mediates attachment to host cell receptors, while GP2 facilitates membrane fusion. The GP is heavily glycosylated, shielding it from immune recognition and presenting a challenge for therapeutic intervention.
