Overview

CCR6 is a G protein-coupled receptor that binds to the chemokine CCL20/MIP-3α. It plays a critical role in immune cell migration and recruitment, particularly of dendritic cells, T cells, and B cells, to sites of inflammation and secondary lymphoid organs. CCR6 is implicated in various conditions, including chronic inflammatory diseases, autoimmunity, and bone metabolism disorders.
