C-C Motif Chemokine Receptor 7 (CCR7)

Target
CCR7
Molecular classification
G protein-coupled receptor, Chemokine Receptor, Receptor
01

Overview

CCR7 is a G protein-coupled chemokine receptor crucial for directing immune cell trafficking to secondary lymphoid organs. It plays a significant role in immune surveillance, adaptive immunity, and various pathological conditions like cancer metastasis and chronic inflammatory diseases. CCR7 binds to chemokines CCL19 and CCL21, guiding the migration of T lymphocytes and dendritic cells to lymph nodes. As such, it represents a potential therapeutic target for immunomodulation in cancer, autoimmune disorders, hypertension, and inflammation.
