Target intelligence / Profile preview
c-Jun N-terminal kinase 2 (JNK2) is a member of the JNK family, which are part of the MAPK family. JNK2 is activated by various stress stimuli and phosphorylates transcription factors, modulating gene expression. It plays roles in apoptosis, proliferation, differentiation, and is implicated in cancer, neurodegeneration, and immune responses. Targeting the JNK pathway has been proposed as a therapeutic strategy.
Pharmacological inhibition or genetic silencing can impair tumor growth driven by aberrant Ras/Jnk signaling axes
