Mitogen-activated protein kinase 10 (MAPK10), also known as c-Jun N-terminal kinase 3 (JNK3), is a member of the MAP kinase family. It is a neuronal-specific JNK isoform involved in various cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, transcription regulation, and development. MAPK10 plays regulatory roles in signaling pathways during neuronal apoptosis and is implicated in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer. It is activated by MAP2K4/MKK4 and MAP2K7/MKK7 and phosphorylates transcription factors like JUN and ATF2.
