C-terminal Src kinase (Csk) is a cytosolic, non-receptor tyrosine-protein kinase that negatively regulates Src family kinases (SFKs) by phosphorylating a conserved tyrosine residue at their C-terminus, leading to their inactivation. Csk is involved in numerous cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, migration, and immune response. Dysregulation of Csk activity is implicated in cancer and other diseases.
