Target intelligence / Profile preview
CXCL6, also known as granulocyte chemotactic protein 2 (GCP-2), is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. It functions primarily as a chemoattractant for neutrophilic granulocytes and plays roles in immune cell recruitment and inflammation. It also has direct antibacterial activity and roles in tissue repair/regeneration.
CXCL6 exerts its effects by binding to CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors, inducing chemotaxis and signaling.
