CA3 antisense RNA 1 (CA3-AS1) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on human chromosome 8[2][5]. It acts as a regulatory molecule involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell proliferation, apoptosis, and differentiation[2]. CA3-AS1 functions at the RNA level, exerting its effects through interactions with proteins and mRNA, such as recruitment of chromatin-modifying complexes like EZH2, which can lead to the silencing of specific target genes[2].
