Target intelligence / Profile preview
CABP1 divergent transcript (CABP1-DT) is an annotated non-coding transcript (lincRNA/divergent transcript) found at chromosome 12:120628830-120641922 on the reverse strand, according to Ensembl and NCBI Gene[5][9]. It is also listed as AC125616.1. There is currently no literature reporting a protein product, molecular function, or involvement in disease. Its naming and annotation indicate it is transcribed divergently from the CABP1 gene, which encodes Calcium binding protein 1, but there is no evidence that CABP1-DT itself is a receptor, enzyme, or other classical therapeutic target, nor are any interacting drugs or mechanisms of action known. There is no evidence currently of biological function, disease relevance, or use as a biomarker. Note: CABP1 divergent transcript should not be confused with the well-characterized protein-coding gene Calcium binding protein 1 (CABP1), which is involved in calcium signaling in neurons and is functionally distinct[3][11]. The divergent transcript is likely a lncRNA of unknown significance, with no established role as a therapeutic target.
