Cadherin 12 pseudogene 3 (CDH12P3) is a human pseudogene related to the *cadherin 12 (CDH12)* gene, which encodes a type II classical cadherin involved in calcium-dependent cell adhesion in neuronal tissue. Unlike its parental gene, CDH12P3 is annotated as a pseudogene, meaning it does not encode a functional protein. While some pseudogenes can exert biological effects at the RNA level (e.g., regulation of related genes, competing for microRNAs), there is currently no evidence that CDH12P3 has such a role.
