Target intelligence / Profile preview
N-cadherin, also known as Neural cadherin or Cadherin-2, is a classical type I cadherin cell adhesion molecule that mediates homophilic cell–cell adhesion. It plays critical roles in maintaining tissue integrity, regulating cellular behaviors such as migration, and is implicated in cancer metastasis and other diseases. N-cadherin interacts with catenins intracellularly and participates in several key signaling pathways, including Rap1, Wnt, Hippo, Focal Adhesion, and Adherens junction pathways.
