Target intelligence / Profile preview
Cadherin related family member 1 (CDHR1) is a protein encoded by the *CDHR1* gene in humans. It belongs to the cadherin superfamily and is specifically expressed in photoreceptor cells of the retina, playing a crucial role in maintaining their structural integrity. Mutations in *CDHR1* are linked to autosomal recessive retinal dystrophies, including cone–rod dystrophy and retinitis pigmentosa.
