Calmodulin 1 pseudogene (ENSG00000270797) is a DNA sequence that closely resembles the functional CALM1 gene but is incapable of producing a functional calmodulin protein due to disruptions in its coding region (e.g., mutations, lack of introns). It is not transcribed into a functional product and does not participate directly in cellular signaling or serve as a molecular target.
