Target intelligence / Profile preview
Calponin 2 pseudogene 8 is a pseudogene related to the calponin 2 (CNN2) gene. Pseudogenes are genomic DNA sequences similar to normal genes but non-functional; they do not encode functional proteins. Several pseudogenes for calponin 2 are present on human chromosomes, but they lack a biological role, do not function as receptors, enzymes, or other drug targets, and have no known therapeutic, biomarker, or disease association.
