Highly conserved and selectively overexpressed in multiple cancer types, CASC19 regulates oncogenic processes such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration, invasion, epithelial-mesenchymal transition, autophagy, and therapy resistance[2][6][8]. The regulatory role of CASC19 is linked to genetic variants in the 8q24.21 region, and CASC19 is increasingly viewed as both a promising biomarker for cancer prognosis and a candidate for targeted RNA-based therapeutics[2][6][8].
