Cancer susceptibility candidate 10 (CASC10) (CASC10)

Cancer susceptibility candidate 10 (CASC10) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on chromosome 9p21.3, a genomic region heavily implicated in susceptibility to various cancers and cardiovascular diseases (HGNC, 2024; NCBI Gene, 2024). It resides within a cluster of critical tumor suppressors, including CDKN2A and CDKN2B, and is often co-regulated with the antisense RNA ANRIL (PubMed, PMID: 29156761).
