Overview

Canis familiaris allergen 2 (Can f 2) is a major protein allergen produced by the domestic dog, primarily found in saliva and dander [1, 2]. It belongs to the lipocalin family, a group of small, secreted proteins that typically transport hydrophobic molecules such as pheromones or vitamins [6, 14].
