CAP1 pseudogene 2 (CAP1P2) is a human pseudogene related to the protein-coding gene CAP1 (Cyclase Associated Actin Cytoskeleton Regulatory Protein 1). Pseudogenes are inheritable genetic elements that resemble protein-coding genes but carry disabling mutations and typically do not produce functional proteins. CAP1P2 is classified as a pseudogene and is not known to produce a functional product or to have therapeutic target potential.
