Carcinoembryonic Antigen Cell Adhesion Molecule 1 (CEACAM1)

Target
CEACAM1
Molecular classification
Type I membrane glycoprotein, Immunoglobulin superfamily, CEA family, Cell adhesion molecule, Receptor
01

Overview

CEACAM1 is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) gene family and belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion, signal transduction, and immune regulation. It plays roles in both innate and adaptive immunity, tumor biology, and angiogenesis. Its interactions with TIM-3 and other proteins make it a potential therapeutic target for cancer immunotherapy, autoimmune diseases, and infectious diseases.
