Target intelligence / Profile preview
Casein kinase 2 alpha prime (CK2α') is a catalytic subunit of the serine/threonine protein kinase enzyme complex, casein kinase 2 (CK2). CK2 is a highly conserved and ubiquitously expressed protein kinase involved in numerous cellular processes including cell cycle control, DNA repair, apoptosis suppression, and circadian rhythm regulation. Overexpression of CK2α' has been observed in certain cancers such as classical Hodgkin lymphoma, thus it may represent a potential therapeutic target.
