The cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor (CI-MPR), also known as the insulin-like growth factor 2 receptor (IGF2R), is a large, multifunctional transmembrane glycoprotein that mediates the transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes and binds IGF-II. It plays roles in intracellular trafficking, cellular signaling, and disease processes.
